Appleyard is in East Sussex, between Three Oaks and Westfield, about 5 miles from Hastings.
We’ve finally got the website updated. Still a bit of work to do, but we’re getting there!
For any information, please click here to send me an email.
Appleyard welcomes wildlife. The wood mouse in the picture lived in an old sombrero hanging in the potting shed. Owls, woodpeckers and loads of other birds build nests all over the place, newts and fish swim in the pond, lizards run around the poly-tunnel, there are butterflies, bees and all manner of weird and wonderful creatures.
I grow mullion because mullion moth caterpillars like to eat it.
We get big moths.
But sometimes they are hard to see.
Though bees are always pretty obvious.
As are weird (but harmless) scorpion flies.
I’ll put up some more wildlife pictures as soon as possible.
