I grow flowering plants and cut flowers. All my plants and flowers are spray free. I think that this is important.
Intensive flower growers often have to drench their flowers in sprays to keep the bugs and moulds off. I like to smell flowers, not residues. I'd sooner lose a few flowers than all the butterflies, bees and other insects covering my flower beds in the Summer. Or the glow worms that shine for an hour or so after dusk. So I guarantee that you won't find any toxic traces on my flowers (though you might find the odd leaf that's been munched on by some critter).
I tend to grow flowers that look like cottage garden or wild flowers. Many are my own selected strains, from seeds that I keep from year to year, so many of my bunches are unique. They aren't available anywhere else. They are NOT wildflowers though, despite what I've heard people comment as they pass my stall. As you might have guessed from my website, I'm very keen on conservation, and NOBODY is allowed to pick wild flowers on my land!
I'll put up more pictures of my flowers soon. I'm only just getting the website sorted. Please be patient. Here's some sunflowers!
