Conservation is extremely important to me at my nursery. The land is managed non-intensively, and I have a huge variety of wildlife. I encourage all native species by maintaining a wide range of habitats. I don't use sprays, insecticides, fungicides etc. As well as protecting all wildlife, it make my plants safe for my customers. Some of my plants may get munched by mice, chewed by caterpillars, scoffed by snails or roughed up by rogue rabbits. But they won't contain any toxic residues. Commercially grown plants and flowers are often drenched in sprays. I'd sooner lose a few plants than poison my wildlife and customers.
I'll put up some pictures of the wildlife on my Nursery soon. I'm only just getting the website sorted. Please be patient. Here's an insect!
